Station 25
5674 W. Pacific Coast Highway
Ventura, CA 93001 |
Fire Station 25 serves the Rincon area of Ventura County. The original fire station (a converted gas station) was located on the beach. Many times firefighters had to sandbag their own fire station during heavy storms. However, when Highway 101 was improved, the beach was covered by what is now the Highway 101/Seacliff overcrossing, isolating the station from the water. The current station was built in 1989 using federal grant funding.
The Rincon Fire Station is staffed daily by three firefighters. The apparatus serving this station includes: a 1500 gpm pumper (Engine 25); a reserve pumper (Engine 125); a 2,500-gallon tanker (Water Tender 25); and a 12-passenger van (Utility 25). |
