Battalion Four - Station 44
|

Station 44
1050 Country Club Dr.
Simi Valley, CA 93065 |
Fire Station 44 serves the western portion of the City of Simi Valley as well as the northeastern portion of the City of Thousand Oaks. This station was built in 1989, in response to rapid growth in the Wood Ranch area of Simi Valley. An agreement with the developer provided land for the station. So rapid was the growth that the District provided a temporary station for a year before the permanent station was ready for occupancy. Station 44 also protects the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
The Wood Ranch Fire Station is staffed daily by three firefighters and houses a pumper (Engine 44); a water tender (Water Tender 44/OES Water Tender 12); a reserve engine (Engine 144); and a pickup with trailer fire-fighting foam unit (Foam 44). The OES (Office of Emergency Services) Water Tender is provided by the State of California and can be responded to incidents throughout the state with our firefighters providing the staffing. Also housed at the Wood Ranch Fire Station is Truck 130, a reserve ladder truck.
