Battalion Three - Station 34

Station 34
555 Avenida de los Arboles, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360

Fire Station 34 is located on Avenida de los Arboles at Moorpark Road. The station was built in 1961 to serve as a fire station and a Ventura County Sheriff's Department substation. The Sheriff eventually outgrew the space and moved to a house across the street and finally to a dedicated station in North Thousand Oaks. Today, the original holding cells are used by fire station personnel as a generator room and a storage room. In 2002, the Firefighter position was upgraded to Paramedic/Firefighter and Engine 34 became the Departments first Medic/Engine.

The Arboles Fire Station is staffed daily by 3 firefighters and houses: a 2002 American La France; a 1500 GPM pumper (Engine 34); a 1991 Pierce pumper in reserve (Engine 134); and a 2001 Dodge van (Utility 34).
