Battalion Three - Station 33

Station 33
33 Lake Sherwood Dr., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360

Fire Station 33 sits on the banks of Lake Sherwood and serves Hidden Valley and the southern reaches of the Westlake Village area of Thousand Oaks. Built in 1949 the Lake Sherwood Fire Station has been an integral part of that community serving as a center for many events. The station was the victim of a brushfire that burned through the station taking the roof off in the early 1950's. This station is a combination of an engine room with small living quarters and a house. The houses adjacent to our stations were used in the early years as homes for the captains and battalion chiefs and their families. They were literally on duty every day.

Today, the station could well be known as the "Hollywood" station because of all the filming in Hidden Valley and the number of celebrities calling Hidden Valley home. Station 33 is staffed daily by 3 firefighters and houses a 2002 American La France pumper (Engine 33) and a 1981 Van Pelt reserve engine (Engine 133)
