Fire Station 31 serves the Westlake area of Thousand Oaks. Originally located at Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Erbes Road (now an auto window tinting business), the station was moved east in 1977 to its current Duesenberg location after Fire Station 30 was built. This move more effectively distributed fire protection in the Conejo Valley. In 2001, Squad 31, with two Paramedic / Firefighters, was put into service at Station 31. The Westlake Fire Station is staffed daily by five firefighters and houses a pumper (Engine 31) and a squad (Squad 31).
