Mission
|
In
partnership with the community, using all resources available
to the Fire District, provide comprehensive public education
and fire prevention programs for the protection of life and
property.
Goals |
- Enhance public safety and
reduce property loss through education, public awareness,
enforcement of codes and regulations, and participation
in the legislative process
- Provide clear and consistent
information to the public and business community through
good communication and availability of Fire Prevention staff
in strategic locations. throughout the county
- Provide effective passive
life safety protection
- Investigate all significant
incidents for cause and recover suppression costs in cases
of negligence
- Identify community threats
and educate the public on cause and prevention

| Bureau
Organization |
| The
Fire Prevention Bureau is organized around common functional
areas including Fire Prevention Planning and Construction, Code
Enforcement and Licensed Care, Engineering and Fire Protection
Systems, Fire Investigation, Fire Hazard Reduction, and Community
Education. While separate in function, the various units are
interrelated and mutually supportive. |
