Bureau of Fiscal Services
The Bureau of Fiscal Services is responsible for the financial management of the fire district. Its functions include payroll, accounts payable, purchasing, budgets, financial analysis and facilities management.
In managing the facilities, the bureau works with the Ventura County General Services Agency (GSA) for routine maintenance and remodeling. The bureau uses a private management consulting firm to oversee larger projects, such as roofing, and for capital projects, which include the construction of new fire stations.
Current and recent capital projects include the construction and remodeling of fire stations, design for future fire stations and the addition of fitness rooms at some existing fire stations.
